Mountain Arks is a cottage
industry based in the beautiful Blue
Mountains, West of Sydney, Australia. We manufacture tastefully well designed and
constructed timber pet enclosures for use as
chicken coops,
rabbit hutches,
guinea pig cages,
dog kennels and
nesting boxes.
Great care has been taken to make all our products not only functional, but also pleasing to the eye and we believe they will enhance any garden.

Mountain Arks is probably best known for its
portable "A" frame style chicken coops — the
Wentworth. Specifically designed for keeping chickens,
we believe they are the best chicken sheds anywhere. And our customers agree, see our testimonials.
Each Ark
is individually made by hand, all panels are liberally treated with our own
blend of timber preservatives before assembly ensuring the finished Ark
will give you many years of service. We only use plantation timbers and wherever
possible we use Australian owned or 
manufactured materials.
Our intention is to serve customers in the area about 300Km around the Sydney. Although we have had a customer from Brisbane who did the 22 hour round trip drive to get one of our arks! We deliver to the greater Sydney area for $1.50 per kilometre. Use Google maps to calculate the distance between our workshop and where you want the product delivered (use the get directions link) and for now add a note to your order with that distance and don't forget to give the delivery address.
Please note that all sizes given on the website are approximate due to the fact that wire mesh sizes vary and these are individually hand made products.

Out and about
We are out and about in April at a couple of venues where we met lots of people. On 4 April we were at the Garden Lovers Market and on 17 & 18 April were at the Bilpin Plant Collectors Fair
